Held by God in Every Season

As we honor God’s commandment on the Sabbath today, we pause once more to breathe deeply, slow our steps, and remember Who holds our lives. The week may have brought uncertainty, long days, or concerns about the approaching storm—but today, God invites us into His rest.

The Sabbath is more than a command; it is a gift—an anchor for weary hearts. When the world feels unsteady, the Sabbath reminds us that the One who created time also redeems it. The One who formed the winds and waters shelters us beneath His everlasting arms.

Today, may we bring before the Lord every fear, every burden, every name we’re praying for. May we feel His nearness not only in quiet moments of worship but in the reassurance that He never sleeps nor slumbers.

Even when the skies darken, the light of His presence remains.

Let us pray for calm over the seas, protection for our communities, and courage for those who serve on the frontlines. May God cover our families with His peace and surround our nation with His mercy.

As we rest this Sabbath, may our spirits echo the psalmist:

“Truly my soul finds rest in God; my salvation comes from Him.” (Psalm 62:1)

Blessed Sabbath, dear readers.

May God’s peace be your shelter today.

Amen.
