Sabbath Light

Resting in God’s Gentle Hands

As another week closes, we pause to breathe — not just to stop working, but to remember Who holds our lives together. The Sabbath is not merely a break from labor; it is a divine invitation to rest in God’s love, to be still and remember that He remains in control even when the world feels uncertain.

In the rush of the week, we often carry silent burdens — unspoken worries, unhealed wounds, unfinished tasks. But today, the Lord whispers: “Come to Me, all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.” (Matthew 11:28) The psalmist reminds us too, “Be still, and know that I am God.” (Psalm 46:10)

Let the Sabbath be a sacred space for healing — for families to gather, for faith to deepen, for weary hearts to find peace. As we rest, God restores. As we pause, He renews.

Call to Faith:
May this Sabbath draw us closer to Jesus — our true Rest, our Redeemer, and our unshakable peace.
