SERVING PATIENTS, TEACHING FUTURE DOCTORS, CHANGING LIVES

By Dr. Juan “Jim” Sanchez

On October 3, 2026, the Hospital On Wheels Team conducted another successful Medical-Surgical-Dental-Optical Mission in Guadalupe Nuevo, Makati City.

Our dedicated doctors and nurses provided free healthcare services to 758 patients while also teaching and guiding 10 surgical residents, 11 medical students, and 4 nursing students who joined the mission.

We are encouraged by the growing number of resident trainees and medical and nursing students participating in our missions. Beyond the classroom and hospital, the community becomes a living classroom—where they gain valuable hands-on clinical experience while learning the true meaning of compassion, service, and responsibility.

For us, Hospital On Wheels is not only about treating patients. It is also about sharing knowledge, mentoring the next generation of healthcare professionals, and inspiring them to serve those who need them most.

We thank all our volunteers, partners, trainees, students, and everyone who helped make this mission possible.

Together, we can change lives—one patient, one student, and one community at a time.
