Holy Week at Serene Mountain Crest Homecare 🤍

By Princess Lhean Yape-Arriola

From Lunes Santo all the way to Easter Sunday, our home was filled with moments that were simple, quiet, and deeply meaningful.

Nagsimula ang week sa tahimik na pagninilay (the week began with quiet reflection). You could really feel the calm – our residents taking their time to pray, reflect, and simply be present. Hindi man engrande (it may not have been grand), but it was sincere.

As the days went by, we shared these moments together. We celebrated Mass, prayed the Stations of the Cross, and reflected while watching the Siete Palabras (Seven Last Words). Each activity brought a different kind of peace, and you could see how meaningful it was for everyone.

One of the most heartfelt moments was during the Washing of the Feet. It wasn’t just a tradition – it felt personal. A quiet reminder of humility, care, and the kind of love we try to show every day here.

Then came Easter Sunday, and everything felt lighter. From silence, naging masaya ang paligid (the atmosphere turned joyful). Our residents became the busiest ones – excitedly preparing Easter eggs and arranging loot bags.

Nakakatuwang panoorin (It was heartwarming to watch) – the effort, the smiles, and the little laughs habang ginagawa nila (as they went about it). Parang bumalik yung pagiging bata (it felt like they were children again), even just for a moment.

And honestly, that’s what made it special.

Because here at Serene Mountain Crest Homecare, we don’t just focus on care – we make sure our residents still get to feel these moments. Yung may aabangan, may mararamdaman, at may ma-eexperience (to have something to look forward to, something to feel, and something to truly experience).

Holy Week reminded us that even in a homecare setting, you can still pause, reflect, and celebrate.Simple lang (it may be simple) – but to us, it meant everything. 🤍
