By Dr. Juan “Jim” Sanchez

It rained hard the night before our Hospital On Wheels Mission in Montalban on August 29, 2026—and the heavy rain continued throughout the day.
But something remarkable happened.
Despite the rain, patients continued to come.
From early morning until the afternoon, many braved the difficult weather just to receive the healthcare services they desperately needed.
Some walked through the rain. Others traveled from far away. They could have chosen to stay home—but they came.
Their presence spoke louder than words.
It reminded us that there are many people who truly need the services we provide, and that Hospital On Wheels must continue bringing healthcare closer to those who need it most.
Although several of our Doctors and Dentists were unable to join us because of the weather and other circumstances, our remaining team stepped up. We worked together, attended to the patients, and did our very best to serve everyone who came.
And as we looked at the number of patients we were able to help, we felt something stronger than fatigue.
We felt motivated.
The patients who braved the heavy rain became an inspiration to our entire team. Their determination reminded us that our mission is not about convenience. It is about service, compassion, and reaching people who might otherwise have no access to the care they need.
There will always be challenges.
There will always be obstacles.
Sometimes, even the weather will be against us.
But as long as there are people who need our help, we will continue to do our best to be there.
We thank God for His guidance, protection, strength, and blessings throughout the mission.
And to all our Doctors, Dentists, Nurses, volunteers, staff, partners, donors, friends, and supporters—thank you for believing in this mission and for helping us continue this journey.
The census and photograph tell only part of the story.
Behind every number is a person.
Behind every patient is a family.
And behind every service is a story of hope.
We may not be able to change the whole world, but perhaps we can change the world of one patient who needs our help.
